The Campbell Lecture Series

Campbell Lecture Series's

 

The Campbell Lecture Series in the Rice School of Humanities issupported by a generous gift from T.C. Campbell, '34. Each year,the series brings a distinguished humanities scholar to campus togives lectures on a topic of broad humanistic interest. These areopen to the entire Rice and Houston communities. Through a specialarrangement with the University of Chicago Press, the lectures arelater published as a book. Previous Campbell lecturers who havepublished works as part of the series include Robert Pinsky(Thousands of Broadways, 2009), Ha Jin (The Writer asMigrant, 2008), Stephen Greenblatt (Shakespeare'sFreedom, 2010 and James Cuno (Museums Matter, 2010),all of which are currently available in print.
